January 2020 Meeting

Our first meeting of the season was held on the 9th January in the Oak Room at the Cock Inn, Stony Stratford with a discursive presentation from our Vice-Chair, Daniel Todd.

This was the first meeting of the calendar year, and the decade, and it was well attended by members and non-members; as always it’s lovely to see some new faces at meetings.

Daniel talked us through various key match incidents (KMIs), including DOGSOs, challenges and penalty area decisions. He then asked us to discuss in groups what we would do if we were in the referees situation and whether we would act any differently.

There was lots of discussion amongst the groups and it was very interesting to see such a varied response to the incidents being shown.

Our next meeting is on 13th February, at the Cock Inn. Update on this to follow soon. Keep an eye out on our meetings page or on our various social media channels.
